Sampler embroidery project

I was invited by Sara Barnes, the creator of the popular blog brownpaperbag, to participate in the
embroidery project "Sampler." According to the website, "Sampler is an embroidery project. It's more
than just that, though. It's also a mail art project, and repurposes vintage items." You can view
(and purchase) the submissions here.

Embroidery collaboration...

Very happy to be part of this embroidery collaboration project dreamed up by Sara Barnes of Brown Paper Bag and Eyra.
I was the first stop on the collab journey. Even though I have embroidery in my genes, I think of myself more as
an artist who plays with materials. For this I used non-traditional materials such as twine, string, paint and finally,
thread and linen.
